I used this honey flapjack recipe and I think it worked really well, see below and let me know what you think.

| 400g of porridge oats |

| 200g demerara sugar |

| 200g of butter (I used dairy free) |

| 200g of honey from Calcott Hall (tip on how to measure this below) |

| All the ingredients together |

| To weigh out the honey, weigh it first in the jar |

| Put the jar in a bowl of boiling water for 30 seconds |

| Pour out the honey |

| Weigh the jar again and work out how much you have used. Repeat till you have 200g |

| Put the honey, sugar and "butter" in a pan and apply heat slowly |

| Stir occasionally |

| Don't turn the heat up to fast or it may burn |

| When the butter is melted and the sugar dissolved, turn off the heat |

| Grease a baking tray and add some grease proof paper |
![]() |
| Mix the outs into the sugar, honey and "butter" |
![]() |
| Add the oats a bit at a time |
![]() |
| Keep stirring till all the oats are coated |
![]() |
| Transfer the mix to the baking tray and smooth with a spatula or spoon |

| When levelled put it in the oven, gas mark 4 for 15-20 minutes |

| Remove from oven when golden brown. Leave to cool then cut into portions |
